87 candles in memory of the victims of the Lata tragedy

The action devoted to the Day of memory of victims of the Lata tragedy has passed in Sukhum, in the Park of Glory.

Sukhum. December 14. Apsnypress. Lana Tsvizhba. There were lit 87 candles for each deceased in the Lata tragedy as part of the action in the Park of Glory. At 17:30, at the time of the crash, everyone gathered in a minute of silence in memory of the victims. Drivers supported the action with honks of cars.
 
 President of the Association of Women with Disabilities, member of hostilities of the War of Abkhazia Larisa Tarba noted there were many who died during the war, but this was the most horrible tragedy.
 
 "Today is the most tragic date in the history of our country. Georgian aggressors shot down the helicopter, and killed 87 innocent people, 35 among them were children and 8 pregnant women. We will always remember and grieve. Let the world never have such a tragedy ", - stressed Tarba.
 
 A participant of the action Ajshat Lomia said that every child in Abkhazia since childhood knows about the tragedy that took place on December 14. "Events dedicated to the memory of victims of the Lata tragedy are held every year. We should not forget our history ", - noted Lomia.
