Rospotrebnadzor experts completed a three-day monitoring mission in Abkhazia

Representatives of Rospotrebnadzor told Prime Minister about the results of monitoring the state of facilities.

Sukhum. July 27. Apsnypress. Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia, Alexander Ankvab, held a meeting with representatives of the Rospotrebnadzor delegation who arrived in Abkhazia on a three-day working visit, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.

 The meeting was attended by Minister of Tourism Teimuraz Khishba and chief sanitary doctor of the republic, Lyudmila Skorik.

 Representatives of Rospotrebnadzor told Prime Minister about the results of monitoring the state of  tourist facilities .

 “Our tasks as agreed by departments of the two countries, included two points: a joint assessment of the epidemiological situation in Abkhazia and an analysis of the readiness of tourist facilities to work in new conditions. We visited 25 sites, including 19 tourist accommodation sites. In addition, we were able to familiarize ourselves with the conditions of infrastructure of popular tourist routes in Abkhazia, ” said Tatyana Nipiyuschaya, Head of the Consumer Rights Protection Department of the Rospotrebnadzor Administration for the Krasnodar Territory.

 The meeting participants noted that in addition to monitoring, personnel were instructed.

 “We are satisfied with quality of the arrangement and the possibilities of most of the facilities. The heads of enterprises met our recommendations with interest. Basically, on the ground, it was about issues of a well-functioning supply mechanism in difficult conditions. To implement all measures at the facilities, stocks of recommended consumables (disinfecting solutions, protective equipment, etc.) are needed, ” said representatives of Rospotrebnadzor.

 The Chief Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Abkhazia Lyudmila Skorik added that the recommendations drawn up by the Sanitary Service of the Ministry of Health of Abkhazia were disseminated to the objects of tourist business. At the time of monitoring, most of the prescriptions were already being implemented.

 As for the assessment of epidemiological situation in the country, experts noted that the situation is now favorable. However, the situation can change dramatically in a short period of time.

 At the end of the meeting, Prime Minister Alexander Ankvab thanked the Rospotrebnadzor team for their assistance in the work of Abkhaz epidemiologists. He stressed that the recommendations made by the working group would be implemented.

 The delegation included 4 Russian experts, heads of specialized departments and medical institutions of Rospotrebnadzor in the Krasnodar Territory.
