Rospotrebnadzor representatives called the epidemiological situation in Abkhazia stable

Ministry of Health of Abkhazia gives priority to the epidemiological well-being of the country.

Minister of Health Tamaz Tsakhnakiya held a working meeting with participation of Rospotrebnadzor representatives, who together with the SES and the Ministry of Tourism of Abkhazia, inspected the republic's tourist facilities these days, the press service of the RA Ministry of Health reports.

Representatives of Rospotrebnadzor have monitored the readiness of tourist facilities to accept tourists during the pandemic.

Opening the meeting, Tamaz Tsakhnakiya thanked the specialists for their work and noted that a delegation from the Russian Ministry of Health also visited Abkhazia. Abkhazian and Russian colleagues discussed the work of the Gudauta Hospital for patients with coronavirus infection, as well as routing issues.

“The epidemiological well-being is a priority for us. We must take all measures to ensure a stable epidemiological situation. We hope that this will be possible with support of our colleagues, both from the Russian Ministry of Health and Rospotrebnadzor, ” Tsakhnakiya said.

 For his part, Evgeny Manin, head of the Sochi anti-plague department of the Black Sea anti-plague station of Rospotrebnadzor, noted that the epidemiological situation in Abkhazia is favorable, and this is largely due to timely measures taken. “

The epidemiological situation in the republic is stable. It can be seen that the measures you have introduced since the beginning of the epidemic are working, ” Manin said.

He also noted the high level of work of the republican laboratory, where PCR diagnostics to detect coronavirus infection are carried out.

“The laboratory complies with all standards and carries out high-quality diagnostics,” said the representative of Rospotrebnadzor.
