Sukhum. August 1. Apsnypress. Russia lifts restrictions on crossing the border with Abkhazia, introduced due to situation with the coronavirus. The order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. As the website of the Russian Government reported, Russians will be able to freely enter Abkhazia from today, and citizens of Abkhazia to Russia.
The decision to open the border with Abkhazia was made on July 31 following a meeting of the operational headquarters under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.
The conclusions of Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Health of Russia on the sanitary and epidemiological situation in this country and the readiness of infrastructure to receive tourists were taken into account.
The signed document amended the Government orders dated March 16, 2020 No. 635-r and dated March 27, 2020 No. 763-r
