May 21 is the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Caucasian War.
Sukhum. May 21. Apsnypress. The Ministry of Repatriation of the Republic of Abkhazia prepared a number of events on the Memorial Day of the victims of the Caucasian War.
So, from 18:00 there will be songs in Abkhaz language on Seafront of Muhajirs.
Candles of memory will be placed from the Abkhazian Drama Theater to the Monument to the Muhajirs.
At 20:00 on the square of S. Bagapsh the horn announce the gathering, and the youth with flags and torches will begin the procession to the Monument of the Muhajirs. The leadership of the country will join at the Abkhazian Drama Theater. At the Monument to the Muhajirs, young people with flags and torches will line up around the monument, and then there will take place a ceremony of laying flowers.
President, Prime Minister, Speaker of the National Assembly of the RA Parliament, Minister for Repatriation will lay wreaths on the water.
A rally to be held.
And then Fire of Memory to be lit.
