A presidential press service's answer to statement of the opposition to hold people's gathering

Statement by the Press Service of the President was published on the website of the President.

Sukhum. July 22. Apsnypress. In its statement on July 20, 2016 party "Amtsakhara" announced its intention to begin preparations for the People's gathering, defining it as "the only remaining output of the state of profound political and socio-economic crisis".
 
 Tragically, perhaps intended, and perhaps out of knowledge, opposition leaders in every way ignore the possibility of constructive solutions to problems, all the while slipping to the level of allegations and attempts to destabilize the situation in the society.
 
 Attempts to shake society, misleading it, have become the only way to achieve their selfish goals. At the initiative of the Bloc opposition forces in Abkhazia held a referendum on holding early presidential elections in the republic. The people expressed their opinion, and it did not arrange the opposition, which the day before the referendum boycotted it itself, thereby ignoring 19 thousand people who supported this initiative.
 
President has repeatedly said that the results of the referendum are not perceived by the authorities as a victory. On the contrary, he said that in the current situation there are no winners.
 
 False statements of the opposition that the government considers the results of the referendum as a victory, openly show their desire to take revenge. And the opposition's intention to hold a People's gathering does not speak about the care of the state and nation.
 
 The opposition has now become a revenge-seekers who want only to regain the seats, not disdaining any means.
 
 The opposition strongly blocks offers of the authorities to be engaged in a constructive dialogue, while publicly claiming the contrary, thereby leading people astray.
 
 There is established a political advisory board under the President of the Republic, which involves political parties and public organizations. The main function of the Council is consultations on important issues of public life. Immediately after the establishment of the Council, the opposition publicly announced its refusal to participate in it, saying that they "are not going to be accomplices in the processes leading to disastrous results for the Abkhazian state, so the political party" Amtsakhara" can not have any cooperation with the President and his administration. " (Statement of the PP "Amtsakhara" from February 18, 2016).
 
 Regarding the establishment of a coalition government, it is the result of the natural development of the country's political system, and in particular political parties that have seats in Parliament.
 
 It is also worth emphasizing that the appointment of the chairman of the Council of Elders of Abkhazia is not the competence of the authorities, despite the fact that it is said in "Amtsakhara's" statement. Government officials are not authorized to deal with such issues.
 
 The statement sounds rhetoric and discredits respected personality of Apollo Shinkuba in Abkhazia, and the whole institute of the council of elders. It should be borne in mind that its chairman of impeccable reputation is elected by voting members of the Council. The new chairman was elected unanimously, which indicates confidence in him on the part of all voters.
 
 Access to the air on the Abkhaz TV does not depend on the political views of individuals, the course of political parties or public organizations. AT is open to all movements through its work regulations, as has repeatedly said President Raul Khadjimba.
 
 Moreover, the opposition leaders have been often invited to speak on the air, but they refused. Therefore, the statement of opposition that AGTRK refuses them in providing a platform for expression of their own position is false and also presents a one-sided information.
 
 With regard to the creation of the National Guard, the opposition once again lead the society astray.
 
 Intent on the establishment of the National Guard has expressed the first President of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzynba. National Guard does not pose any threat to the citizens and the state as a whole. On the contrary, the creation of such a structure have a positive impact on security in the country.
 
So, in order to develop proposals for the formation of the National Guard in the Republic of Abkhazia, by Presidential Decree there has been established the Working Group. As part of its work there will be put forward recommendations for the development of legislation and guard structure.
