A week of Russian-Abkhazian defectology is taking place in Sukhumi

The educational project provides lessons and master classes for Abkhazian defectologists, school psychologists and speech therapists.

The week of Russian-Abkhazian defectology was opened by a conference in which representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Abkhazia, the Education Department of the Sukhum Administration, educational organizations of Abkhazia, Sverdlovsk region and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, as well as the publishing house "Prosveshchenie" took part. The official website of the Capital Administration reported.

 According to the report, a large-scale educational project provides practical and theoretical parts (lessons and master classes) for Abkhazian defectologists, school psychologists and speech therapists.

 According to the director of the Sukhum subsidiary school Victoria Tarkil, the teachers of the Ural Pedagogical University have been conducting master classes and seminars for Abkhaz colleagues,for the third year but such a large-scale educational project is being held for the first time. "In our work, it is very important to have constant training and further training. We must constantly be aware of all innovations and the development of defectology. The information we receive within a week, of course, will positively affect the work ", - stressed Victoria Tarkil.

 For their part, Russian defectologists noted the qualitative level of defectology, as well as the special methods and approaches to training that Abkhaz colleagues use.
