Statement by President Raul Khadjimba in connection with the incident with the Russian military aircraft in Syria.
Sukhum. November 24. Apsnypress. The statement says:
"The Republic of Abkhazia expresses full support to the Russian Federation in the fight against international terrorism, which constitute a threat to peace and stability in the Middle East region as well as globally.
We see the incident with the downed Russian military plane as an attempt to undermine Russia's efforts to combat international terrorism and strongly condemn this act.
We hope that the international community will give proper assessment of this unacceptable action, as it is in the interests of cooperation in the fight against the common threat of terrorism, which killed thousands of citizens of different states".
