Sukhum. April 11. Apsnypress. The Abkhaz delegation headed by the Minister of Health Andzor Goov attended the fifth Conference on HIV / AIDS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which was held under the slogan "Global Partnership against HIV / AIDS. Every life is valuable".
Representative medical forum held for 10 years and annually attracts up to 2500 delegates from more than 70 countries of the world's leading scientists, politicians, professionals in the medical field, as well as representatives of civil society. The conference is an open discussion platform for leading scientists from around the world.
They discussed the latest scientific achievements in the field of epidemiology and prevention of HIV infection, the development and availability of new treatments and diagnostics. Within the 3 plenary sessions held on 40 parallel sessions, 25 round tables and symposia. A comprehensive analysis of the challenges associated with HIV infection and ways to overcome it, according to Department of Information Technology of the Ministry of Health.
