The Geneva discussions are held since October 2008 on the basis of agreements reached after the events of August 2008 in South Ossetia. In the framework of discussions on security in Transcaucasia Georgia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia meet regularly. In addition, involving the representatives of Russia, the United States, as well as the UN, OSCE and EU. As long as this is the only format of negotiations.
