Abkhazian Foreign Ministry calls officials and heads of state administrations not to make statements and comments on foreign policy

Comment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Sukhum. June 10. Apsnypress. On June 7, 2016 in the newspaper "Echo of Abkhazia" was published an interview with the head of the Administration of Sukhum Adgur Kharazia E.Zavodskoy journalist in which, they touched upon the Abkhaz-Russian relations.
 
 "In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Abkhazia the main directions of foreign policy are determined by the President,  the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia is responsible for the implementation of the state policy in the sphere of international relations and co-ordination of foreign policy.
 
 Thus, foreign policy issues are not within the competence of the heads of the administrative territorial units of the Republic of Abkhazia.
 
 Conditions of placing on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia united Russian military base stipulated in the agreement between Abkhazia and Russia about joint Russian military base on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia, which was ratified by the People's Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia ", - says the comment of RA MFA.
 
In this regard, the Abkhaz Foreign Ministry calls officials and heads of state administrations not to make statements and comments on foreign policy, as these issues do not apply their competence.
