Abkhazian Foreign Ministry sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Georgia's military aggression against South Ossetia

"Abkhazia fully experienced all the hardships and deprivations of war, fully share the bitterness of losses with relatives and friends of the deceased defenders and civilians of South Ossetia," reads the note of the RA MFA.

Sukhum. 8 August. Apsnypress. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the beginning of a large-scale Georgian aggression against the Republic of South Ossetia.
 
  The note says:
 
 "August 8, 2008 will forever be remembered in South Ossetia as one of the most tragic dates in the modern history of the country - a war broke out, forcing all the people in a single impulse to stand up for the defense of the Motherland. The treacherous invasion of the Georgian military, which violated all conceivable norms and principles of international law, resulted the death of hundreds of innocent people, numerous destruction and incalculable suffering.

 Russian peacekeepers, who were among the first victims of this barbaric action of the criminal regime of Saakashvili, selflessly entered the battle and provided worthy resistance to the insidious enemy, protecting the South Ossetian people from destruction. Thanks to the heroism of its defenders and the prowess of the Russian military who came to the aid, the people of South Ossetia with honor managed to withstand all the trials and defend their right to independence.
  
 Abkhazia fully experienced all the hardships and deprivations of war, fully share the bitterness of losses with relatives and friends of the deceased defenders and civilians of South Ossetia. We bow our heads to all who fell in the selfless struggle for the freedom and independence of their country."
