Abkhazian MFA: any attempts of official Georgian authorities to interfere with the World Football Cup ConIFA doomed to failure

"Georgia continues its aggressive, inhumane and contrary to international standards of human rights policy to isolate citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia from the international communication," - says the statement of the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry.

Apsnypress. «Over the past few days, representatives of the Georgian opposition party "United National Movement" made a number of statements relating to the need to strengthen further international isolation of Abkhazia. In particular, dissatisfaction of the opposition movement is caused by the absence of rigid response from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, which has "allowed" to hold the World Football Cup under the auspices of ConIFA in the Republic Abkhazia ", - says the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.
 
 The Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia believes that "such negative reaction to international events of purely sporting nature, in which the Republic of Abkhazia is involved, is typical for the Georgian political elite".
 
 At the same time, the document notes: "Despite all the attempts of Georgian politicians to impose to the world community the image of a peace-loving state, striving for reconciliation and mutual understanding with the people of Abkhazia, Georgia, continues to conduct aggressive, inhumane and contrary to international standards of human rights policies, in order to isolate citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia from the international communication".
 
 "To the disappointment of our Georgian opponents, World Cup ConIFA, taking place in these days in the Republic of Abkhazia, has caused great interest not only in Abkhazia, but also far beyond its borders. For illumination of sports events in Abkhazia came more than a hundred representatives of the international media. There is no doubt that this important sporting event will be successfully implemented and will bring a lot of positive emotions to all fans of football.
 
Any attempts of the Georgian authorities to prevent the realization of the given sports events will be doomed to failure and will not bring any results. The only thing that can make the Georgian government for its inadequate actions, is the escalation of tension between our peoples and countries", - says the statement of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia, issued today, 31 May.
