Adgur Ardzinba on the tourism industry: the rate is to improve the quality of service at an optimal tourist flow

The Cabinet continues structured meeting on the prospects for the development of tourism in Abkhazia with the participation of the consulting company Strategy Partners group and specialists of RA tourism sector.

 According to RA Minister of Economy Adgur Ardzinba, the programme will increase the income of the tourism industry in 4 times in 2025. According to minister, for the successful achievement of these goals, public and private investment should be effectively coupled to, first of all, economic development has a direct positive impact on the welfare of citizens. "We're not going to develop tourism in the models of some countries where the indigenous population is not involved in the industry. It requires a combination of public investment with the necessary shares to attract domestic and foreign investors ", - said Ardzinba.
 
 The minister noted that Abkhazia has the internal capacity. "Our domestic entrepreneurs have quite intensive development and accumulate capital, which allows them to invest. The state's task - to create such conditions for entrepreneurs, so that they can invest, and to help, as far as possible", - he stressed.
 
 In addition, Ardzinba noted that the main objective of the program development - development of the industry, not an increase of tourist traffic, but the determination of the optimal number of tourists, which we can take, and to fill with products in such a way that the average tourist spends more money. "This is a different kind of hotels, entertainment, that is, the product content. The rate - to improve the quality of service at an optimal tourist flow ", - said Ardzinba.
 
   Minister also said that in addition to tourism, together with the consulting company, the Ministry of Economy is engaged in study of the other two areas, one of which - the development of agriculture and processing of fruits and vegetables.
