Alexander Ankvab: Headquarters instructs ministries and departments to work out the issue of possibility of opening the tourist season from July 15

Sukhum. July 29. Apsnypress. At a meeting of Coordination Headquarters for Protection of Population from Coronavirus Infection, Prime Minister of Abkhazia Alexander Ankvab summed up the discussion of the epidemiological situation in the country.

Alexander Ankvab informed: “The headquarters instructs the relevant ministries and departments to work out the possibility of opening the tourist season from July 15, discussing related issues with Russian structures, and make a final decision, depending on the epidemiological situation in Krasnodar and other regions of RF ".

At the same time, Prime Minister emphasized: “If we can competently build work in these two weeks, as well as obtain objective information and support from Russian colleagues, then we will consider that today's meeting of the Headquarters was successful. The Ministry of Tourism has a lot to discuss with tour operators who work on the Abkhaz side, with insurance companies and many other structures involved in this business. We have received quite a lot of offers from Russia on how best to organize such work. You need to work out the right roadmap. We are aware that it is very difficult for our citizens today, damage has been done to the economy, finances, money circulation, and goods flow. Nevertheless, our citizens are sympathetic to the actions of the Headquarters. We got out of this situation with the least losses. But wrong actions in the future can cause irreparable damage. I believe that our citizens treat this with understanding. ”

According to Ankvab, the results of Headquarters meeting will be reported to President: “If he supports the decision, then the corresponding document will be signed.”

Prime Minister especially emphasized the issue of lifting restrictions on the work of school institutions: “If you consider this possible and necessary, I support this decision. For all that, we will have to find additional funds to launch this system. ”
