Alkhas Kondzhariya: all patients with COVID-19 are now stable

RA Deputy Minister of Health spoke about the well-being of patients with COVID-19.

Sukhum. June 16. Apsnypress. Deputy Minister of Health of Abkhazia Alkhas Kondzhariya spoke about the well-being of patients with confirmed COVID-19, who are in Gudauta Hospital. 

Kondzhariya said that the condition of patients is regarded as relatively satisfactory, that is, the patients need to be directly in the hospital, but there are no active complaints about poor health. “There is a temperature, but not high - from 37 to 38. The condition of all patients is now stable, everyone is breathing independently. Not a single patient was connected to mechanical ventilation during the pandemic in Abkhazia. There were a number of episodes when the patient was given oxygen due to low saturation, ” Kondzhariya explained.

As deputy minister notes, the category of patients is now youth, their disease is confirmed not by one, but by several test results. “So today we have four people in a re-enactment, and if the result is negative, then they will be discharged in the near future. Due to that this group is of young people, the disease is mild. Let's hope that their condition will improve every day. I wish good luck to relatives and friends and not to worry, we are doing everything possible for their speedy recovery. And thanks to entire medical community that is working today for the good of their homeland, ” concluded Alkhas Kondzhariya.
