August 26 - Day of the international recognition of the independence of Abkhazia

The international recognition of the Republic of Abkhazia was nine years ago.

Sukhum. August 26. Apsnypress. Damey Kaslandziya. Nine years ago, on August 26, 2008, President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on recognition of the independence and state sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia.

 Today, in the village of Nizhnyaya Eshera there wa held  a ceremony of laying flowers to the Memorial Complex of the First President of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba. To honor the memory of Vladislav Grigorievich Ardzinba came President of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba, Vice-President Vitaly Gabniya, Speaker of the Parliament Valeriy Kvarchia, Prime Minister Beslan Bartsits, representatives of the Government of Abkhazia, the public.
 
The ceremony will continue at the grave of the Second President of Abkhazia Sergey Vasilievich Bagapsh in the village of Dzhgiarda.

 In the evening guests and residents of the capital can see a concert of the State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble "Russia" named after Lyudmila Zykina, which will be held in the Abkhazian State Philharmonic.
