Avenue Aiaaira will be equipped for people with limited mobility

Town's Administration tools sidewalks on the avenue Aiaaira with special plates, congresses and ramps for low-mobility category of citizens.

Events on the equipment of Aiaaira will be held in the framework of the program "Accessible Environment", as well as consulting support of the Association "Inva-Promotion". For the category of people with limited mobility will be installed special congresses and ramps with handrails, rough collapsible tiles, as well as tactile guides and 30 metres strip plates.

"All businesses services, medical facilities and other social facilities should be available to all citizens. People with disabilities should have equal footing with all the access to all areas of society", - said in an interview with "AP" the Head of ME of the Public Administration of Sukhum Elena Atepina.

According Atepina, the program "Accessible Environment" planned to monitor houses, inhabited by citizens with disabilities to special equipment porches of their homes. Monitoring will be carried out with the participation of housing and communal services. Realize paving slabs on the avenue Aiaaira began in December last year, and is scheduled to be completed in May.

"AP": Low mobile citizens - people with disabilities of all categories, which include persons with persistent disorder of body functions due to disease, trauma or defects that led to the limitation of life, and makes it necessary to their social protection. This category includes the elderly, people with young children, including those using strollers; other persons with disabilities or the capacity to move independently, navigate, communicate, forced by the stability or temporary physical disability use for their movement necessary tools and accessories and guide dogs.
