Baratelia: next year we plan to put pensions on plastic cards across the country

In the next year we plan to transfer the issue of pensions on plastic cards across the country",- Beslan Baratelia said. 

According to him, at this stage of the process to issue plastic cards to state employees. For about 3 thousand state employees went to receive wages on the cards. He also said that pensioners and state employees receive plastic cards for free.

"We are going to increase the number of users to 50 thousands. The ongoing turnover of the Abkhaz card is about half a billion", -he said.

According to the chairman of the National Bank, international payment systems are not working on the territory of Abkhazia. "But this has its advantages, the National Bank of the Republic of Abkhazia established the Abkhaz payment and settlement association "Apra", which includes commercial banks of Abkhazia", - Baratelia said. 

Talking about the future of the bank, Beslan Baratelia said that it is planned an integration of PSA "Apra " to the international market, so our cards would function outside Abkhazia". 

"The whole world is going in this direction, it is long-term development process. We are almost the only country that has lagged behind the process", - Baratelia stressed.
