Beaches of Abkhazia will be cleaned before the swimming season

Sukhum. May 13. Apsnypress. Preparations for the swimming season in all the beaches of Abkhazia will begin on May 15, told Apsnypress Head of State Inspectorate for Small Vessels of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Abkhazia Tengiz Basariya.
"In private beaches there should be rescue sailors on the boats (at least three), life-saving supplies (circles, vests), first aid, protective structures, showers, toilets and so on. Beaches that do not meet these requirements will be closed", - said Basariya.
According to him, 80% of all deaths drowning in the sea of people is due to their alcoholic condition, so the beaches is strictly forbidden to use and sell alcoholic drinks. At the same time, tourists and some employers often ignore this rule, which subsequently leads to death.
Points of maritime administrations of MES of Abkhazia are in Ochamchira, Gagra, Sukhum and have a speedboat, scooters, reach speeds of 40-45 knots, modern scuba diving and other necessary equipment.
AP: In Soviet times, there were more than 120 beaches in Abkhazia, now their number is slightly higher than 30.
