Beslan Bartsits: it is planned to invest 100 million rubles in agriculture

Prime Minister of Abkhazia Beslan Bartsits held a meeting on the work of the Ministry of Agriculture over the past 4 months.

Sukhum. May 3. Apsnypress. Lana Tsvizhba. Problems of agriculture were discussed by the RA Minister of Agriculture, heads of regional agricultural administrations and heads of machine and tractor stations at the working meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers with Prime Minister of Abkhazia.

 Opening the meeting, the head of the government Beslan Bartsits noted that for several months of this year a lot of money was allocated to support agriculture. "To date, this amount is about 36 million total costs. In addition, about 10 million rubles will be allocated this week. This indicates that we are increasing support for agriculture. I would like to hear from the heads, did this help reach rural workers? "- said Bartsitz. 

 According to Prime Minister, the budget of agriculture is increasing every year: if in 2015 the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture was 45 million rubles, then last year this amount increased to almost 70 million rubles. This year it is planned to invest 100 million rubles into agriculture. "In addition to the planned expenditure part of the budget, we provide regular support to the village from the reserve of the President and the Government on a regular basis. Including, the same direction as the announced program for the first plowing. We announced that the state takes all costs associated with the first plowing. And we really do it! Already allocated money for the purchase of fuels and lubricants. The second stage is money allocated for wages, "- said the prime minister. 

 At the same time Bartsits noted: "We sometimes hear that collecting money for plowing  on the ground continues. If this is the case, executives who admit this will respond personally. I ask you to take this situation under control".

 In addition, Bartsits said that equipment for tractors for 10 million rubles is already imported. "Despite the difficulties of the first quarter, we have found these opportunities, strengthened the machine-technical stations on the ground. This is done to improve the situation in the countryside, "- said the head of government. 

 For his part, Agriculture Minister Daur Tarba spoke about the spring field work: "The Ministry of Agriculture held several meetings with the heads of the MTS, where they discussed the preparatory issues for the spring field work. The technics is checked, the corresponding repair work is completed. Also, the equipment is of good quality. All the equipment is already fully used in the spring field work, " - Tarba said. 

 Daur Tarba explained to the heads of the district agricultural administrations that they need statistics on the volume of plowed lands that are performed by MTS employees. "If necessary, we are ready to use our means to fill 1000 hectares of land," - said Tarba. 

 In addition, the Minister of Agriculture informed on the state of state plantations. In his opinion, 65-70% of fruit plantations must be decommissioned. 

 Also, Tarba said that the Republican Unitary Plant Protection Enterprise under the Ministry of Agriculture has been carrying out a great deal of work every year to combat the boxwood firefly and other pests. "This year 2.5 million rubles have been allocated for the acquisition of the relevant chemicals. These chemicals are distributed by area, "- said Tarba. 

 The Minister of Agriculture spoke about the restoration and development of such traditional for the republic directions of agriculture, as the tea industry & livestock. According to him, this year the tea industry was the first to receive funding. "We plan to collect 1310 tons of green tea leaf," - said Tarba.

Also, the Minister reported on investment in livestock: "Today, there is an interest in this issue. One company has already delivered 450 head of cattle. Another wants to import 4500 head of cattle and create on this basis the processing of meat and milk", - concluded Tarba.
