Bilateral consultations of young diplomats of Abkhazia and Russia were held at the RA MFA

The meeting discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of the CYD format.

Sukhum. September 19. Apsnypress. Dmitry Basariya. There was held a meeting of the Council of Young Diplomats of Abkhazia and Russia in the framework of the IV round of bilateral consultations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 According to Inar Ladaria, the chairman of the CYD under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, the agenda of the IV round of consultations discussed the participation of young Abkhaz diplomats in the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi (October 14-22) and in international consultations of young diplomats at the BRICS and OIC forums, International Association of Young Diplomats, creation of an information resource for promoting the format of the international youth movement.

 Opening the meeting, Foreign Minister Daur Kove said: "The Council of Young Diplomats of Abkhazia, established in 2014, is actively developing cooperation with colleagues from other countries. Of course, the range of issues that the Union posed before and which is relevant now is significantly different. The Abkhazian Foreign Ministry is interested in holding such meetings more often. We are ready, on our part, to saturate the agenda of these meetings with the issues that confront our countries. Abkhazia and Russia have a coordinated foreign policy, so the participation of young diplomats is very important for strengthening our cooperation. "

 Thanking for hospitality, Konstantin Kolpakov, chairman of the CYD under the Russian Foreign Ministry, said: "We are pleased that our bilateral cooperation has been developing for several years and contributes to the development of youth diplomacy. The forums of young diplomats have become a new unique format of international interaction with colleagues from different countries. It is impossible to move forward without the exchange of experience, knowledge and skills! "

 Among the most important topics for discussion within the framework of the consultations, the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Ministry at the Russian Foreign Ministry noted the information security of the state. "This is one of the most urgent topics in contemporary international relations," - he said.

 Kolpakov thanked the Abkhazian young diplomats for their help in developing the idea of ​​creating an International Association of Young Diplomats, which, in his opinion, could become a youth analogue of the UN. He also invited them to take part in the fifth round of consultations and the first global forum of young diplomats.
