On the 70th anniversary of the First President of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba at the Park of Glory was held a ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the memorial to those killed in the war of the people of Abkhazia.
Sukhum. May 14. Apsnypress. Flowers were laid by the leadership of the country, members of Parliament, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Abkhazia, war veterans, the public, students and schoolchildren.
"It is difficult to overestimate the significance of Vladislav Grigorievich in the history of Abkhazia. He played a defining role in the state. He designed the state as an architect and in addition, was the spiritual leader, was able to unite the people in a very difficult time - a historic break-up", - said MP Ahra Bzhaniya.
"For me Vladislav Ardzinba is a person with a huge heart who worried about the fate of the people as his own. He gave himself as a sacrifice to the people. He is a symbol of what can be achieved by a person who has the power of will and knowledge", - Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Chirikba.
