Chief Justice Roman Mushba spoke about the interaction with the media

Sukhum. April 23. Apsnypress. Anticipating questions from journalists, Roman Mushba said: "The country has created quite workable judicial system where is the principle of competition as well as the responsibilities of the prosecution, defense and judgment. Although the judiciary today experiences some difficulties". Such difficulties he called the quality of the preliminary investigation and logistics ships. 

Responding to questions about the press service Roman Mushba explained: "Such a platform in the structure of the Supreme Court already exists, but the position of the Press Secretary is vacant". However, he stressed that in accordance with the law there are information boards at the courts  which provides information on the timing of court hearings so "everyone can come and get acquainted with it, everything is open and accessible". In addition, in courtrooms allowed audio and video. However, the question to remove  the process on the camera or not is under the competence of the judge, who may be deem it inappropriate. Such rules governing criminal and civil procedure codes take precedence over the law on mass media. The deputy Georgiy Akaba said: "Come and check the information of interest on the scoreboard in the courts once a week". Moreover, a requirement for accreditation of journalists on the processes is revised, now access to the courtroom is open to the media as well as to the other citizens of Abkhazia. 

The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Abkhazia Roman Mushba said that the reform of the judiciary the Parliament adopted in the first reading of a bill on access to information about the judiciary where "the whole algorithm of interaction with the media is registered".

Also, Georgiy Akaba commented on judgment in the case of an attack to the former Prime Minister Beslan Butba. 

He said in part: "Article 76 allowed dismissal for reconciliation of the parties. The victim stood up and said: I do not want the young guys to get a deadline, I forgive them.
