Comments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia on the withdrawal of Abkhazia's state symbols from the stand of CCI exhibition «SAJAM FAIR» in Belgrade

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia considers this incident as yet another attempt by the Georgian side and its European "allies" to neutralize the value of presence in this international event, the Republic of Abkhazia and the Abkhaz delegation given to the participation in the exhibition purely commercial in nature.

At the 37th International Tourism Fair Sajam Fair in Belgrade from the stand of official member of Chamber of Commerce of Abkhazia was seized state symbols - the flag of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia considers this incident as another attempt by the Georgian side and its European "allies" to neutralize the value of presence in this international event, the Republic of Abkhazia and the Abkhaz delegation given to the participation in the exhibition purely commercial in nature. Georgia's ongoing attempts to exert pressure on the Abkhaz representatives abroad deserve strong condemnation.

Abkhazia as a sovereign independent state intends to continue actively to engage with the international community without regard to its frankly destructive steps detractors.
