Four political parties signed an agreement on cooperation in order to create the Council of national unity of the Republic of Abkhazia.

"In order of further development of partnership and cooperation and to ensure the unity of the people to solve national problems, to overcome the crisis of political and economic nature, the parties agreed on the establishment of the Council of national unity of the Republic of Abkhazia (SNERA)", - the document says
Chairman of the RPP "United Abkhazia" Sergey Shamba said that the establishment of the Council proceeded from the fact that "in the political field of the country have developed two distinct flank - the opposition and pro-government." "We wanted to combine forces, who have their vision in addressing the political problems facing society and the country, and who always actively participate in the political life of the country and will continue to offer their projects", - Shamba said. At the same time, he expressed hope that the Council in the future will be expanded and joined by other parties and organizations.
According to the agreement, the Council may include representatives of other political parties and public associations registered in the established law and operating on the territory of Abkhazia.
In turn, chairman of the party ERA Beslan Butba noted that the role of parties in the country should be strengthened.
«We believe that there are issues that are needed to be addressed at party level. The role of the party in our country is great and should be strengthened ", - said Butba.
At the same time the head of the Foundation for International Business Cooperation Vakhtang Pipia said that the main task of the Council - the union of society and the promotion of economic development.
