Young representatives of political parties and public organizations discussed socio-political situation in the country and the way out of the crisis at the round table.
Sukhum. November 22. Apsnypress. Dmitry Basariya. A round table on the theme "Socio-political situation in the country - a way out of the crisis", which brought together young representatives of political parties and public organizations of Abkhazia was held in Sukhum. The event was organized by political party "People's Front of Abkhazia for justice and development", "Democratic Abkhazia" and "Modern Abkhazia".
One of the organizers, a representative of the PP "Modern Abkhazia" Irakli Tuzhba outlined the objectives of the activity: "Given the increasingly aggravating political situation in our country that could escalate into open confrontation between the different political groups, there was made a decision on the need for action, at which the young representatives of various socio-political organizations will be able to express their attitude to the ongoing processes and try to analyze possible ways of overcoming the current political tension". At the same time he expressed his own position: "As a citizen, I would like to see specific ideas and programs in the political struggle between the government and opposition".
According to a representative of PP "People's Front of Abkhazia for justice and development" Ilya Shadaniya, the essence of political controversy and accusations of the government by the opposition has not changed throughout the years of the crisis. "The nature of relations between the authorities and the opposition is not very constructive. In turn, the opposition accuses the authorities on betraying national interests. Of course, there are a lot of drawbacks in the current government, but there are also pluses. In particular, reforms in the education sector and the tax system, the construction and repair of roads and a number of other socially important projects". As a workaround Shadaniya proposed to consider a law on opposition activity.
In turn, the representative of the PP "Amtsakhara" Mizan Zukhba said: "In order to dispel existing myths, I want to assure everyone that we are not plotting revolution. All the actions that we intend to do, will be held within the constitutional framework. In particular, in the near future we will hold a series of meetings with our supporters and activists in Gagra and Sukhum, it is planned to hold a large party congress of "Amtsakhara" on November 30, which among other things will discuss the issue of holding the national gathering. We stand for an early presidential election, but we are against the violent overthrow of the government".
The representative of the PP "Democratic Abkhazia" Astamur Logua expressed his point of view. He believes that there are no political divisions in society in Abkhazia: "I do not know where there is a split in the nation. Yes, there is some controversy among the country's political elite, which is no more than fifty people. I have many friends who are in the opposition parties and movements, but we do not feel ourselves torn apart, as well as the people sitting here".
At the same time representative of the PP "Apsny" David Gabniya said: "We, the younger generation, should not carry the baggage of confrontation between the political forces. Why do we need this unnecessary burden? People are tired of this confrontation. According to a social survey conducted by the fund "Kavkaz" two months ago, including 400 citizens of Abkhazia from different parts of the country, 37% of people do not believe any political force, 23% want to see the power of new people, and only the remaining 40% are supporters of political organizations. " To solve the crisis, he suggested to translate the political struggle nto the mainstream of political competition, "competition of ideas and programs, rather than personalities".
The round table participants agreed on the need to repeat the meeting live on Abkhazian television. Roundtable participants familiarized themselves with the text of the resolution prepared by the organizers of the event. The signing of the text shall take place separately.
