During the summer checkpoint "Adler" was crossed by 2 million people

The capacity of the Russian customs checkpoint on the river Psou exceeded 6 times.

Sukhum. August 24. Apsnypress. More than 2 million people and 440 thousand vehicles since the beginning of summer have passed through customs on the border with Abkhazia in Sochi. This is 15% more than last year. This was reported on the website of newspaper "Gudok", citing TASS and the press service of Sochi Customs.
 
 "From August 1 this year crossing point "Adler" in both directions was crossed daily by  7 thousand vehicles, including about 200 tour buses and up to 50 thousand of individuals. Since early June the Russian-Abkhaz border was crossed by 2 million people and 440 thousand vehicles", - noted at the customs.
 
 As the number of people crossing the border with Abkhazia has increased, the number of violations of the customs legislation became much more. So, at the office of Sochi reminded that the duty-free from Abkhazia can enter up to 3 liters of alcoholic beverages per adult and paid duties are no more than 5 liters. Without payment of customs duties Russians can import for personal use not more than 10 packs of cigarettes. Abkhazian wine and tobacco are very popular among Russian tourists. At the same time, it is noted that since the beginning of the season there are  brought more than 190 cases of administrative offenses.
 
In addition, according to the Border Guard Department of FSB of Russia in Krasnodar region, a stream crossing the Russian-Abkhaz border has increased by 20% during the first half of 2016 and by the end of the holiday season can grow by a third.
