Film by the Abkhaz director "The Bridge" received the prize at a film festival

The film "The Bridge" by Naur Garmeliya took third place at the International Festival "Spirit of Fire".

The debut feature film "The Bridge" by Naur Garmeliya, in which he also appeared as a writer, took third place at the International Festival of Cinematographic Debuts "Spirit of Fire", which was held in Khanty-Mansiysk. Young director from Abkhazia was awarded the prize - «Bronze Taiga».

The plot of the film tells the story of 10-years-old boy and his father, living in seclusion in the province of Abkhazia. The boy each day passes over the bridge to get into the ruined by war market to sell cheese of own production. But once the settled life comes to an end. 

The main roles are played by non-professional actors - 10-years-old schoolboy from the village of Baslakhu Aslan Hiba, and father of director Beslan Garmeliya. The film was shot in Tkuarchal in 2014.

At the final stage of shooting the young director was supported by the company "A-mobile". In mid-2015 the picture passed the post-production, and has been nominated for the festival.
