Sukhum. July 20. Apsnypress. International chess tournament "Ochamchyra OPEN», belongs to a series of tournaments XII International Chess Festival "Abkhazia OPEN - 2015", ended July 20.
According to Apsnypress chairman of the Chess Federation of Abkhazia Konstantin Tuzhba, winner of the tournament in Ochamchira became an international master from Saratov Igor Dmitriev, the second place was taken by FIDE master from Chelyabinsk Valery Shangin, third - international grand master Vasily Malinin from St. Petersburg.
The best result among the Abkhaz players showed Timur Shanava, he finished fifth.
In the children's age group Abkhaz players took two prizes: the first - Roland Bigvava from Sukhum, the second - Ignat Asafiev from Tatarstan, the third - Ainar Hurhumal from Ochamchira.
Tournament in Ochamchyra was sponsored by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sport. The competition was attended by players not only from Abkhazia, but also a number of regions of Russia. Over 45 athletes fought for victory.
XII International Chess Festival "Abkhazia OPEN - 2015" will proceed in three tournaments: from 21 to 31 July in Gudauta, from 1 to 11 August in Sukhum, from 12 to 22 August in Gagra.
