Foundation for International Business Cooperation and the "Institute of the Eurasian Economic Community" signed an agreement on cooperation

The agreement is aimed at the exchange of information, cooperation of business representatives of both countries, promotion of the integration processes between Russia and Abkhazia.

The sides signed a cooperation agreement to jointly implement projects and programs aimed at the expansion and development of economic, cultural, information and other contacts and ties between the business communities, as well as the public and representatives of non-profit organizations of Abkhazia and Russia, said general director of the Foundation for International Business Cooperation Vakhtang Pipiya.

«Our Agreement includes cooperation in the field of economic and business partnerships, further development projects of the Russian business, the EurAsEC countries and strengthening these positions in our country", - Pipiya said.

Director General of autonomous non-profit organization "Institute of the Eurasian Economic Community" Vladimir Lepekhin noted that the principles of cooperation between the Foundation and the "Institute of the Eurasian Economic Community" are the key concepts of sovereignty and development: "These terms are basic for Eurasian integration. On the one hand, this structure itself - the Eurasian Economic Union, set up in such a way that ensures maximum sovereignty of participants, on the other hand, the aim of this integration association is to ensure the economic development of all member countries", - said Lepekhin. He noted that Abkhazia is unlikely to become a member of the Eurasian Economic Union in the coming years, but this does not mean that it is not necessary to develop cooperation.

Vakhtang Pipiya also noted that the Foundation for International Business Cooperation was established recently and talked about its main tasks, one of which - the creation of an investment portfolio of Abkhazia. "It will include the full potential of our country in all spheres. First of all, in industry. The engine of the economy should be the industry. Naturally, we are a resort and an agricultural country, but we believe that the industry has to go ahead", - said the head of the Fund. The main activities of the Foundation will be directed to help the creation of business projects and attract investment into the republic.

«We will be engaged not only in small business projects, but also mega-projects that today interests our country and our economy", - Pipiya said.
