Gennady Gaguliya about RA exposure at the exhibition in Montenegro: it is a pity that the authorities of the state, that recently has received its sovereignty, came in the wake of Georgia and carried out illegal actions

The Abkhaz delegation was not given the opportunity to continue participation in the International Tourism Exhibition «ME-TUBES» in Montenegro because of the protest of Georgia.

Sukhum. April 25. Apsnypress. The Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Abkhazia took part in the International Tourism Exhibition «ME-TUBES» in Budva, Montenegro.
 
 The exhibition began on April 21 but by the end of the second day of it, the Abkhaz delegation was asked to immediately leave the exhibition by representatives of law enforcement agencies dressed in civilian clothes, by order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro. However, they referred to the Georgian protest against the participation of Abkhazia as an independent state.

It should be emphasized that the RA CCI participated in the exhibition on the basis of preliminary agreements and the official invitation.
 
 The head of the delegation, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of RA Gennady Gaguliya for two hours had to negotiate with the administration of the exhibition, which ultimately proved fruitless.
 
   The Administration of the International Tourism Exhibition «METUBES» apologized to Abkhazian delegation for the situation, referring to the government's and the Ministry's of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro pressure and asked to curtail exposure.
 
 "The stand of the Republic of Abkhazia, as well as in other countries, had caused great interest among visitors. We sincerely regret that the authorities of  a relatively young state, that has recently received its sovereignty, came in the wake of Georgia. And furthermore carried out illegal actions. Earlier, when we took part in exhibitions, Georgians protested, but no one forced us to close the exposition. I believe that Montenegro spoiled its reputation not only as a reliable travel partner, but also as a country as a whole ", - said president of the Chamber of Commerce Gennady Gaguliya.

Despite the incident, the Republic of Abkhazia is included in the list of member countries of the official annual exhibition catalog, in which is represented as an independent state. This catalog is distributed among the visitors and exhibitors.
