Irakli Tsaava died on the road in the village Hiatsha, Gali district, before reaching the border with Georgia

Sukhum.  May 5. Apsnypress. Patient with congenital aganglioz Irakli Tsaava died in the village of  Hiatsha, Gali district, before reaching the border with Georgia. Department of Information Technology of the Ministry of Health was told by the chief doctor of the Gali District Georgy Shoniya. 

A resident of the village Lada-Bargyap, Gali district of Abkhazia, Irakli Tsaava born in 2002, was sick of congenital abnormalities of the colon (Hirschsprung's disease) which is characterized by an adhesive obstruction in almost all parts of the intestine. Immediately after birth (after three days) he was operated in Tbilisi. 

Since 2002 he was observed at the children's surgeon-proctologist in Tbilisi and in Zugdidi, where were conducted periodic conservative treatment without surgery. At the same time Tsaava family did not address for help in the republican health facilities. Neither the director of the school where studied Irakli Tsaava, nor the head of administration of Lada-Bargyap did not informed doctors about the condition of the child. During the whole period of life of Irakli  (his parents had not present a document certifying the citizenship of Abkhazia, as well as Georgia) was not treated in the medical ambulance (SVA) of village Lada-Bargyap and CRH of Gali district, except of May 4, 2015. 

Brigade substation SMP SVA of Lada-Bargyap was called at 6:45 am on May 4th. In the Gali district CRH boy entered at 7:30 am where he was examined by a doctor and after 10 minutes - a surgeon. 

At 8:20 am was made a joint inspection with the head of the surgical department of CRH of Gali district. The patient's condition was defined as extremely serious. The diagnosis - acute adhesive intestinal obstruction, total intestinal paresis, diffuse peritonitis. Surgical treatment was impossible. As revealed in the survey of parents, malaise, constipation, bloating already lasted 4-5 days, after the child according to his mother, ate a lot of unripe plums.    

Parents of Irakli Tsaava decided to transport their son in Tbilisi, but on the road at 11:55 his condition became critical. Resuscitation was performed for 20 minutes. Despite the best efforts of doctors already at 12:15 on May 4 in the village of Hiatsha doctors accompanying the patient verified his death.
