Issues of simplification of customs formalities were discussed at the Trade Mission of Russia in Abkhazia

These and other issues were considered at a meeting of the Russian Trade Representative in the Republic Vladimir Nekrasov with head of the Abkhaz customs (specialized) post, Konstantin Balashev.

Sukhum. 26 March. Apsnypress. Trade representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Abkhazia Vladimir Nekrasov met with head of the Abkhaz customs post (specialized) Konstantin Balashev.

 During the meeting they discussed issues of implementation within the framework of the "Country Action Plan of the Russian Federation - the Republic of Abkhazia for 2018-2020", which provides for simplification and optimization of customs, border and other control procedures at checkpoints on the Abkhaz-Russian border.

 In addition, the meeting focused on simplification of customs formalities in order to promote the development of trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation.

 As you know, in pursuance of the Agreement between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs of October 16, 2010 and the Agreement between the Federal Customs Service (Russian Federation) and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Abkhazia on the procedure for formation, functions, competence, regions of operation and locations of specialized customs bodies on September 12, 2012 , there was created the Abkhazian customs post in the autumn of 2017. Organizational-technical and legal procedures are being conducted to create the conditions for the beginning of its functioning.
