The First Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Adzynba discussed at the meeting of the results of fishing, as well as the situation of fishing in the Gagra district.

"On this day all over the waters of Abkhazia caught 54,000 tonnes of anchovy, – said  Agriculture Minister Rafik Otyrba. - All four fish processing plant of RA practically chose their fishing quotas".

According to him, during the fishing season, together with the  representatives of the Ministry of environmental services constantly monitor the process of fishing, and there were not found significant violations. With all responsibility Minister said that bottom trawl in the republic. Moreover, all fishing vessels removed or filled sorting lines.

According to Rafik Otyrba fishing season this year was successful. Anchovy catch quota has been increased to 60 thousand tons. And since all catchers quotas have already selected (except 4 firms are allowed to continue fishing for an additional 10 days), it was decided to stop the fishing of anchovy. To date, fishing has brought the country's budget 54 million 959 thousand rubles. Upon completion of the fishing season the country's budget should receive 72 million rubles. While the predicted maximum of 30 million rubles of budget revenues. According to the adjusted cost exports of fishery products will be 2 rubles per 1 kg., Processed products - 1.2 rub per 1 kg.

According to the President of the State Committee on Ecology and Nature Protection Savely Chitanava, this year is not fixed serious violations of fisheries. One of the reasons - favorable weather conditions, when cold water is collected in the schools of anchovy (up to 150 thousand tons), where no other fish species. Due to the weather warming, anchovy began to disperse, and therefore proposed to reduce the time of fishing season.

The First Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Adzynba commented on the situation with the fishing in the area of Gagra: "Pre-installed 500-meter coastal zone, where are fishing coastal fishing enterprises and where prohibited from entering fishing vessels. However, these rules are violated. It is necessary to strictly control the conditions of fishing and maybe the next fishing season should increase this coastal zone up to one kilometer", - said Shamil Adzynba. According to him, at the end of the month are once again gathered all interested parties to discuss the situation.
