Khadjimba: ConIFA Championship 2016 will allow Abkhazia to show the world the possibility of building international relations outside the political context

President Raul Khadjimba received the leaders of the Confederation of Independent Football Associations (ConIFA).

Sukhum. May 28. Apsnypress. Dmitry Basariya. The meeting was attended by President of ConIFA Per Anders Blind, Vice President of the Confederation Dmitry Pagava and media director Ciaran Pender.
 
 Welcoming the leaders of the Confederation, the President noted: "ConIFA Championship 2016 will allow Abkhazia to show the world the possibility of building international relations outside the political context. Political recognition of Abkhazia will come in any case and maybe it will happen thanks to an international sporting and cultural contacts, such as the World Football Cup under the auspices ConIFA".
 
 "During the preparation for the ConIFA championship in Abkhazia we faced with various difficulties, but the main problem was to break stereotypes about Abkhazia in front of the European public and present the real picture of the political situation around the country, protecting our choice to hold the championship in Abkhazia. I'm sure we could prove that Abkhazia has all the necessary resources and capabilities to carry out the ConIFA Championship 2016. Moreover, we believe that ConIFA Championship in Abkhazia can serve as a high-level example of an organization", - said Blind.
 
At the end of the meeting, Raul Khadjimba handed Per Anders Blind gifts.
