Khadjimba: I want to honor the memory of victims of the Georgian aggression and wish the people of South Ossetia, prosperity and peaceful sky

President Raul Khadjimba sent a telegram to President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of Georgia's aggression against South Ossetia.

Sukhum. August 8. Apsnypress. The telegram, in particular, notes:
 
 "Today, the people of Abkhazia together with the brotherly Ossetian nation honors the memory of those killed in the Georgian-South Ossetian war in 2008.
 
 August 2008 entered into the history of our people in letters of blood. On that tragic day Georgia treacherously invaded the peaceful Tskhinval and started shelling the sleeping city, contrary to the previously concluded agreements, once again putting the people under threat of complete destruction.
 
 To our deep regret, the representatives of the international community, with exception of the Russian Federation strongly ignored reality, closing their eyes to the genocide of an entire people.
 
 In these difficult days for us, the Russian Federation has become the guarantor of our security, our standing in the protection of historical justice and the inalienable right of every nation to self-determination.
 
 We have clearly defined our way, and the memory of those who laid down their lives for the sake of this goal, will always remain in our hearts.

On this day, I once again want to honor the memory of victims of the Georgian aggression and to wish the people of South Ossetia prosperity and peaceful sky".
