Khadjimba: South Ossetia today is an example of social harmony and spiritual unity, prosperity and confidence in the future

President Raul Khadjimba congratulated Leonid Tibilov on the Formation Day of the Republic of South Ossetia.

 On behalf of the leadership of the Republic of Abkhazia and myself, I extend my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the Republic of South Ossetia.
 
  On September 20, 1990 the Council of People's Deputies of South Ossetia adopted the Declaration on the national sovereignty of the republic. That day was a historic step in the establishment of the modern independent state.
 
  On the path of revival of its statehood, the people of South Ossetia survived three wars, survived numerous blockades and, in spite of everything, has achieved recognition of independence of the republic.
 
 The recognition of the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia by the Russian Federation in 2008, was a turning point in the modern history of our countries.
 
 Today, South Ossetia is an example of social harmony and spiritual unity, prosperity and confidence in the future.
 
On this solemn day, dear Leonid Kharitonovich, I want to wish you, and the heroic people of South Ossetia, peace, happiness and prosperity! "
