Khajimba on opposition to terrorism in Syria: it is a struggle for the sake of the whole world, for the sake of us all, for the future of humanity

Sukhum. November 21. Apsnypress. Lana Tsvizhba / Madina Chagava. Speaking at the meeting, the head of state Raul Khajimba noted that gathered people express clear and unequivocal support and solidarity to the Syrian people.
 
 "The war that tears apart the Syrian state, caused not only by confrontation in Syria, but also irresponsible policy of some countries, including the so-called global players, for which the support of the destructive forces in the region is priority rather than cooperation with Russia, Iran and other countries, leading uncompromising fight against the global scourge of terrorism ", - said Khajimba.
 
 The President stressed that Abkhazia fully supports Russia's actions aimed at strengthening global security and threats to international peace and development. "The Russian Federation headed the international movement to combat terrorism, taking drastic measures in order to prevail peace and tranquility in long-suffering Syria. We believe the world should be grateful for the prompt decisive actions to combat international terrorism and support peace and stability in the Middle East region. Like it or not, but it is a struggle for the sake of the whole world, for the sake of us all, for the future of humanity ", - said Khajimba.
 
 According Khajimba Abkhazia can not indifferently watch what is happening in Syria: "Our Diaspora live in this country, as well as the peoples of the Caucasus diaspora. We are concerned about the safety and well-being of our fellow citizens. During an acute humanitarian crisis in Syria Abkhazia opened its doors to hundreds of our brothers who are here today, and together we will build strong and free Abkhazia".
 
 In turn, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Abkhazia Semyon Grigoriev noted the importance of the meeting: "Our today's meeting is very important, especially for the long-suffering Syrian people for whom every sign of support and solidarity is priceless, especially of so close state to the Syrian people, ethnically and historically as Abkhazia. Today's meeting is important for the Russian Federation, because all you are showing that the coordination of foreign policy is not just empty words from the international agreements but the will of the people of Abkhazia".
 
 At the end of the meeting, there was adopted a resolution which says:

1. We appeal to the representatives of the Abkhaz and fraternal North Caucasian (Circassian) diaspora living in Syria and abroad, as well as to the citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic, forced to leave their homeland, to hold peaceful rallies in support of the Syrian people.

2. We call on to commend the important role of the Russian Federation in the process of assisting to Syria in its fair and unequal struggle against international terrorism.
 
 3. We appeal to the United Nations to adopt a resolution confirming the commitment to preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria, using exclusively peaceful initiative for a political settlement of the Syrian crisis.
 
 4. We call on all parties involved to strictly observe the ceasefire and political dialogue to recognize the only acceptable way of settlement of internal political disagreements.
 
5. We call on all parties involved in the settlement of the Syrian crisis, to be guided by the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council, decisions of the International Support Group of Syria and the Geneva communiqué of 2012, as well as to consolidate efforts to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Syria.
