Konstantin Piliya: children from Abkhazia will be treated in medical institutions of St. Petersburg, and children of St. Petersburg in sanatoriums of Abkhazia

Representatives of Sukhum Town Assembly informed on the signing of Memorandum with the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly at a press conference.

Press conference on the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Sukhum Town Assembly and the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, was held at a press center "Sputnik Abkhazia". The journalists' questions were answered by representatives of STA.

STA Chairman Konstantin Piliya told about the content of the memorandum: "All plans and protocols of intentions on holding the memorandum, agreed in May, were fully implemented. Events were held at the highest level. We were given a good reception. The memorandum included position on cooperation in the sphere of housing and communal services, tourism, health care, social welfare, culture and sports. During the event, there were held separate meetings with representatives of legislative and executive authorities of St. Petersburg in Smolny, where, in particular, we discussed the possibility of commercial communication with the Crimea. With regard to health, it was agreed that children from Abkhazia will be treated in St. Petersburg medical institutions and children from St. Petersburg in our sanatoriums".
 
 Speaking about the plans of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of housing and communal services, Piliya said: "We can learn from the St. Petersburg Vodokanal experience in water treatment sodium hydrochloride, safer and cheaper means. Sodium hydrochloride is ionized sodium chloride. In the near future we plan to hold consultations with our leadership to buy it in St. Petersburg".
