Memory of victims of the Caucasian War was honored at the Abkhazian Drama Theater

The event was attended by the President of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba.

Sukhum. May 21st. Apsnypress. Damey Kaslandsiya. The Abkhaz State Drama Theater of S. Chanba held an evening dedicated to the 153rd anniversary of the end of the Caucasian War. The event was attended by President of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba, public and political figures, representatives of the Abkhazian intelligentsia, descendants of mahajirs.

 Within the framework of the evening, there was presented an exhibition of creative works of the repatriates "Аҟазара адацқәа".

 Opening the evening, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Repatriation Gugutsa Dzhikirba said: "Today is a mourning day for all the peoples of the North Caucasus, which is always accompanied by pain and tears. The wounds from the tragedy had been healing for a long time, but life continued. After a while, the houses again lit up the fires and a new generation, which became a new hope for Abkhazia was born".
   
 Chairman of the State Committee for Repatriation of the Republic of Abkhazia Vadim Kharazia stressed that the tragedy of the forcible eviction of the people of Abkhazia will never be forgotten. "This tragedy will remain a stigma in the history of our people. Today is a memorable day for all the backgammon of the North Caucasus and all the Abkhazians living around the world. We will always feel the pain of our compatriots who were forced to leave their homeland. We must face the main goal - the return of our brothers to their historical homeland, " - Kharazia said.
