MES: the water level dropped, and poses no threat to human life

After a heavy rain which took place in the foothills of Sukhum and Sukhum district, the water level in rivers rose above the allowed rate, rivers burst their banks and flooded the central part of Sukhum.

Sukhum. July 11. Apsnypress. Due to the rains the river overflowed, washing away part of the highway in Eshera.

Streets and houses of the capital are flooded , said Minister of Emergency Situations Leo Kvitsinia.

"All MES units are raised and now eliminate the consequences. At the moment, the water level dropped, and poses no threat to tourists and residents of the capital ", - said Kvitsinia.
