Within the framework of the VI St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, the Minister of Culture and Protection of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Abkhazia Elvira Arsaliya and the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky signed the International Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Culture.
The signing of the Agreement will be decisive in the further development of cultural ties between the two countries.
"Many projects in 2018 will be devoted to the 10th anniversary of recognition of independence and state sovereignty of Abkhazia by the Russian Federation," - said Elvira Arsaliya.
In addition, according to Arsaliya, the plan of events in 2018 will be based on a program of exchange tours of theaters and music groups.
