Ministry of Health of Abkhazia and Research Institute for Plague Control of Stavropol will continue cooperation

Sukhum. April 21. Apsnypress. "Cooperation of Rospotrebnadzor with the Ministry of Health of Abkhazia is a strategic direction. We must be ready to use modern diagnostic methods to combat new and natural focal infections", - said Alexander Kulichenko. He noted that over the past three years of cooperation on Anti-Plague Institute with the Ministry of Health of Abkhazia have been done a lot of work: A new laboratory facilities, trained personnel who can use the most modern methods of investigation. This year will continue to help in the organization of laboratory of diagnosis and prevention of possible outbreaks of infections such as natural foci which exist on the territory of Abkhazia, and the new artificially created and falling outside. 

Minister of Health of Abkhazia Andzor Goov stressed the importance of cooperation with the Institute of Stavropol  and expressed hope for further fruitful work. 

"A lot of work has already been done in the framework of cooperation. Was organized seven expeditions to identify foci of infection and the establishment of a reliable barrier against them, implemented a program of vaccination and disinfection of animals. Further plan of our work was approved as a part of the intergovernmental meeting which was held on April 17", - added Goov.
