MP: A commission to study the issue of economic efficiency of production of hydrocarbons is a state approach

Sukhum. July 30. Apsnypress. RA Parliament adopted a resolution "on the formation of the Commission for the study of the question of economic efficiency of production of hydrocarbons in the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia". The Commission involves Beslan Gubaz, Ahra Kvekveskiri, Said Kharazia, Tengiz Agrba, Yuri Zukhba, Leonid Chamagua, Beslan Tsvinariya, Zaur Yazychba. President of the Commission - Almas Dzhapua. 

Speaking about the tasks of the Commission Almas Dzhapua said: "There are different opinions about oil production in Abkhazia: someone says that it is good, someone says it is bad. But my colleagues and I came to the unequivocal conclusion - there is no place for oil production on the territory of Abkhazia! Because this activity is practically not compatible with either the nature or the resorts. There are three aspects: environmental, economic and political. At the same time, environmental - is the most dangerous. With regard to economic aspects, we do not acquire any excess profits with signing of agreements on oil". 

The same view was supported by deputy Kan Kvarchia "Removing the bill and the establishment of the Commission for the Study of hydrocarbon production is a national approach! After all, we, the deputies, have to make a decision and respond to the people. Therefore, it is necessary to examine all: the Treaty on which they runtime, whether our laws and Constitution. So, I ask to provide us with a complete package of documents and analytical reports of public authorities: the Ministry of Economy, Ministries of Finance, Justice, Environmental Services".
