The National Bank has reported to the Parliament

The National Bank's annual report for 2015 was adopted at the meeting of the People's Assembly of Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Sukhum. May 26. Apsnypress. Elena Poluyan. Presenting the report, the chairman of the National Bank Beslan Baratelia cited statistics. According to him, most of the indicators of credit organizations of Abkhazia in 2015 have the positive dynamics. Equity increased by 2.4% and amounted to 1 billion 181 million rubles. Attracted by the funds increased by 35.2% and amounted to 4 billion 438 million rubles.
 
 On 1 January 2016 the amount of loans granted by all credit organizations of Abkhazia amounted to 3 billion 221 million rubles, in comparison with January 1, 2015, increased by 24,6%.
 
 In 2015, the volume of loans to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, as compared to the year 2014, increased by 23.1% and amounted to 2 billion 164 million rubles.
 
 The volume of loans to individuals for 2015 increased by 28.8% and amounted to 1 billion 26 million rubles. The volume of individuals' deposits in 2015 increased by 21.3% and amounted to 877 million rubles. Baratelia said: "I am pleased that the lending culture is increasing. Our citizens take a responsible attitude to compliance with the terms of contracts. The first tranches to repay loans have already passed".
 
 Baratelia stressed, explaining the situation of arrears, "Outstanding loans decreased by 119 million rubles or 15.7%. Thus, the annual continuous growth of arrears has stopped in the analyzed period".
 
Head of the National Bank said that on January 1, 2016 of nine credit organizations six have made a profit totaling 82.6 million rubles, while in 2014 it amounted to 5.9 million rubles.
 
 Baratelia also spoke about the development of the payment system "Apra": "In 2015, the number of issued credit cards reached 22,572 pieces. As of January 1, 2016, salary card projects implemented in 77 institutions. In 2015, the payment infrastructure developed actively. On January 1, 2016 RA acquiring network NPS is represented by 383 terminal devices".
 
Summing up the report, Baratelia said: "As a result of revenues and operating expenses the amount of profit for the year 2015 amounted to 48.645 million rubles, in comparison with the year 2014, increased by 20.216 million rubles. For the first time the Bank of Abkhazia listed portion of the profits (7 million) to the budget of the republic".
