New approaches in the provision of financial assistance to Abkhazia

Sukhum. April 14. Apsnypress. As noted the Economy Minister Adgur Ardzinba, under the rules are prescribed mechanisms of cooperation agencies of the two countries. "In the near future, the Ministry of Economy of RA should be an interdepartmental working group which will produce the primary selection received by the Ministry of projects for the future direction of the Investment Agency and the search of investments and investors", - said the Minister. 

According to the General Director of "Investment Agency" Alexey Shemonaev, "the main objective of the Agency - to support commercial ventures in Abkhazia those entrepreneurs who want really to do something for the development of their country". And "if their initiative is framed in accordance with applicable law and their financial capabilities allow to fulfill the obligations that they take" Investagentstvo of Moscow is ready to help and assist. 

For monitoring the performance of obligations under the project, the Agency should work with the Government of the Republic of Abkhazia. 

During the meeting were presented 7 projects in the field of agriculture and industry which in the future will be analyzed and the most interesting ones will be supported. "Reviewed projects today - this is the beginning. None of the proposals received by the Ministry will be ignored. At the moment, blurts criteria that should be reflected in the projects and will soon become clear how they will be funded and under what conditions", - said Adgur Ardzinba. Only the Ministry of Economy of Abkhazia received 107 projects. All selected projects will be presented to the general public. 

"You can talk about new approaches to provide financial assistance to Abkhazia. It is the gradual introduction of market elements to stimulate these mechanisms. Simply put, instead of "fish much better to give a fishing rod", - said the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration on socio-economic cooperation with the states - members of the CIS Denis Travin. According to him, the projects selected today after 3-4 months are ready to be already implemented. 

"All the interaction schemes have yet to be worked out, then further work will be easier and faster",  - said the Prime Minister Artur Mikvabiya.
