"Night at the Museum" in Abkhazia

State Museum of Abkhazia will host an international event "Night at the Museum" for the first time.
Sukhum. May 15. Apsnypress. Minister of Culture and Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage Elvira Arsaliya and director of the Abkhazian State Museum Arkady Jopua told at a briefing about the upcoming event.
"May 18 the entrance to the National Museum will be free. And at 20:00 the guests will see a festive program. This is an excellent opportunity for young people to be culturally enriched. We hope it will become an annual event", - said Arkady Jopua.
Theme of the celebratory program - folk and ritual chants.
Folklore ensemble of Gudauta "Ахьышьҭра", dance and children's ensembles under the direction of Nonna Ferzba who perform heroic, ritual, dance and wedding songs will take part at teh event. Students of Cultural enlightenment School will perform with a reduced exposure to musical instrument "абыкь".
All songs will be accompanied by theatrical performances.
Festival will be divided into two parts. The first part will take place in the museum, and the second - in the courtyard. Elvira Arsaliyev noted that such actions are important for the interaction of culture and classical audiences, especially young people.
"We are always confronted with the fact that young people are not always able to visit museums for various reasons. Therefore, the museum should interest them", - said Arsaliya.
It was noted that the action "Night at the Museum" is held in Abkhazia for the first time, but in the future it is planned to hold annually at different venues.
