On a meeting between the presidents of Abkhazia and Russia in Moscow

The President of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba is on a working visit to Moscow.

Sukhum. December 1st. Apsnypress. In Moscow there was a meeting of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two presidents discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. The official website of the head of state reported.
 
 Putin greeted Raul Khajimba and noted that the meeting indicates the friendly nature of the Abkhaz-Russian relations. Russian President stressed that a good legal base is formed today.
 
 "It's more than a hundred contracts and agreements, thirty are in elaboration. According to investment direction the package is formed of more than than nine billion rubles, projects at more than seven hundred million rubles are already approved", - Putin said.
 
 He added that it is necessary to carefully consider all of these projects, funds were allocated to real business and improving the quality of life in the Republic of Abkhazia.
 
 Vladimir Putin also noted a record number of Russian travelers who visited Abkhazia this year.
 
 Russian President stressed that Russia closely watches events in Abkhazia.
 
 "We see the complicated internal political events taking place in Abkhazia. But I must say straight that this is a normal phenomenon in any society, in any country. We very much hope that the situation is under control, and will not go beyond the legal field, because, otherwise, it is difficult to carry out our plans for economic cooperation', - said Russian President.
 
 Vladimir Putin noted that this year the trade turnover between Abkhazia and Russia has increased, it is a good trend, in his opinion.
 
 He also emphasized that in addition to "On alliance and strategic partnership" basic treaty, the states enter into separate agreements, including those relating to defense.
 
 President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba thanked Vladimir Putin for the invitation and noted that this is the second meeting of the heads of the two states for the year that "bespeak the nature of our relationship".
 
 "Undoubtedly there is a development of the legal framework. And of course, in the framework of the "Agreement on alliance and strategic partnership", the plans that we laid in it will be implemented", -  said Raul Khajimba.
 
 President of the Republic of Abkhazia said that now are realizing the issues related to national defense, border cooperation and economic development.
 
 "We have 5% increased turnover. The growth is visible, despite the fact that the volume is not very large. The possibility of the banking sector also has grown. We carry on a profitable part of the budget of 2016 - it is 36% more than last year. In comparison with the year 2014 - it is approximately 66% more", - the President of Abkhazia said.
 
Raul Khajimba expressed gratitude for the assistance the Russian leadership has in the Republic of Abkhazia.
