The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Russian Federation held a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Daur Kove with Charge d'Affaires of Venezuela Jose Gregorio Escalona. Press service of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia reported.
During the meeting they discussed issues of bilateral Abkhaz-Venezuelan relations.
Jose Gregorio Escalona congratulated Daur Kove on his appointment as a Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and expressed confidence in further building of full Venezuelan cooperation with the Republic of Abkhazia.
Daur Kove noted the importance of all-round cooperation between Abkhazia and Venezuela, paying particular attention to the need to intensify cultural contacts between the two countries.
After the meeting, Daur Kove and Jose Gregorio Escalona exchanged gifts.
